Educational Opportunities

Faculty and staff can take advantage of a number of educational opportunities offered by Seminole State College.

Employee Educational Fee Waivers

Full-time employees who have worked in a full-time capacity for at least six months are eligible to apply for a fee waiver for one Seminole State course per term. To apply, employees must complete an initial Waiver of Fees request form, which includes all eligibility requirements. The form must be submitted, and all required signatures obtained, before the course begins.

Dependent Tuition Reimbursement

Spouses and dependent children of current full-time employees who have completed at least six months of full-time employment at Seminole State, as well as surviving spouses and dependent children of eligible employees, may apply. The refund covers approved Seminole State post-secondary educational fees for up to 120 semester hours or their equivalent. Request forms are available online through the Human Resources Office. For more details, please visit the Policies and Procedures section of the website.

Staff and Program Development

Staff and Program Development offers opportunities for instructional, administrative, and career support staff to enhance their professional skills, pursue a degree in an approved and accredited program, or retrain to align with new institutional objectives.
