During spring 2019 the EMERGE Program partnered with the Center for Fine & Performing Arts and hosted the Fix It Up! Art & Repair Fair, a community arts event themed on sustainable consumption and finding creative opportunities for reuse and repair. The day's activities included:

- Panel Discussion on Green Theatre in Central Florida
- Student Recycled Art Show
- Workshop: Making Ink Outta Acorns
- Clothesline Clothes Swap
- Quick-Fix Button-Sewing Station

10 a.m. in Harriett's Theatre
Listen in as theatrical designers from Central Florida hold an open discussion about the green theatre movement and sustainable practices in the performing arts.
Moderated discussion with open forum to follow.
Workshop: Ink Outta Acorns
11 a.m. in Art Studio G-130
Get cooking with this DIY ink workshop! Professor Larry Vienneau will cover how to source ingredients, make ink and craft your own drawing tools.

Join us for a guest lecture by Sandra Goldmark, an educator and New York-based set and costume designer who founded FixUp, a social enterprise dedicated to rehabilitating and repairing household items.

Rusty's Bicycle Recycle
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Center for Fine & Performing Arts
Visit the repair experts from Rusty's Bicycle Recycle to learn about common breaks and how to fix them. Or, if you've got old bicycles lying around, consider donating! Rusty's Bicycle Recycle collects and repairs beat-up bikes and donates them to Central Florida charities.
