Student Financial Planning
Beginning the 2024-25 award year, Seminole State’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is implementing Student Financial Planning (SFP).
SFP is a cloud-based financial aid system that provides students with increased visibility around their financial aid options and supports better-informed financial decisions. The system manages a student’s financial plan individually, automatically and in real-time.
Your SFP portal will house all information related to your 2024-25 verification tasks needed for determining your financial aid eligibility.
Students can log into the portal using their Seminole State credentials and:
- Check status of their FAFSA submission.
- View a checklist of any necessary documents needed for verification.
- Upload any required documents via the portal.
Student Financial Planning Portal Instructions
The first time you access SFP, you will be prompted to consent to conduct business electronically.
The decision whether to do business electronically with the College is yours. When you select the "Accept & Continue" button, you consent to allow the College to conduct business electronically, including having communications provided or made available to you in electronic form and entering into Agreements and Transactions using electronic records and signatures. Your consent is valid until your access to the student portal expires.

- Once a document is uploaded, it will appear under “Document History.”
Students may also grant a parent or guest access to their Student Financial Planning portal.

- Add a parent or guest by selecting the plus icon then enter your parent’s or guest’s email address.
- Make sure the status is set to “Enabled” and click on the save icon. Please note that saving the email will send a notification to your parent or guest informing them of their user account creation along with an activation link. The parent or guest must also accept the Electronic Consent to Conduct Business Electronically.
- Your parent or guest now has access to your SFP portal to sign, upload and view documents.
- Navigate to the SFP portal using the link that was emailed directly to the parent or guest.
- The parent or guest will be prompted to create a new password. After creating a new password, the parent or guest will be logged into the portal.
Be sure to check your Student Financial Planning tool regularly as new steps and information become available and to ensure that pending tasks are successfully completed.
