Exam scheduling, simplified! SSAP-Testing Center is launching on January 2, 2025 as your one stop location to schedule exams at the Testing Center. Watch this page for announcements prior to launch.
Academic Testing Guidelines
The Assessment and Testing Center administers academic testing for Seminole State students who are unable to take a scheduled classroom test for one of the following reasons:
- Academic Testing with documented disability identified by Disability Support Services (DSS)
- Limited academic testing
Test Scheduling
Academic Testing- for Seminole State students is offered by appointment only.
- Same day appointments may not be accommodated.
- You must log in to the SSAP- Testing Center app (link available January 2, 2025) using your MySeminoleState account to schedule an academic test.
Note: Only Seminole State faculty members can authorize an academic test. Speak with your instructor before using SSAP-Testing Center app to schedule an exam.

SSAP- Testing Center Instructions
The following steps outline the SSAP- Testing Center app instructions for students and faculty.
Student Instructions
- Step 1: Your instructor must first authorize you to test by creating an exam session.You cannot schedule an appointment until your instructor creates the exam session.
- Step 2: When you are eligible to test, you will receive notificationvia your Seminole State College Live email, prompting you to create an appointment. Don’t delay scheduling; same day appointments may not be accommodated.
- Step 3: Login to SSAP-Testing Center using your SSO user credentials.
- Step 4: Go to Testing Center Dashboard.
- Step 5: Under Manage Appointments Tab, select the green Schedule button.
- Step 6: Under Schedule Your Appointment, select the desired Testing Center location.
- Note: Your instructor can restrict your testing location to the campus(es) of their choice.
- Step 7: Select the desired date to test.
- The default timeframe to complete any test is six days from the date the instructor creates the exam session. Your instructor may decrease the number of days you have to take the test, but he or she cannot increase it.
- Step 8: Select desired exam start time.
- Available appointment times will be during normal Assessment & Testing department business hours.
- Step 9: Select the green Save button at the bottom of the page to secure your academic test appointment.
- Step 10: Return to Testing Center Dashboard to verify, reschedule, or cancel your appointment. Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 2 hours prior.

When you arrive to the Testing Center to take your academic test, you must sign in using SSAP- Testing Center. To do so:
- Login to SSAP-Testing Center, using your SSO credentials.
- Review the Testing Center Examinee Agreement.
- Select "I have read and agree to comply with the Testing Center Examinee Agreement".
- Select Academic Testing.
- Click on the green Join Queue button.

Faculty Instructions
Part I: Creating an Academic Exam
- Step 1: Login to SSAP-Testing Center using Seminole State College SSO user credentials.
- Step 2: Go to Testing Center Dashboard.
- Step 3: Under Manage Exams tab, select the green Add New button.
- Step 4: Manage Exams: Create New
- In the In the Exam Name section, enter the name of the exam.
- In the Course section, enter the corresponding Course Subject and Number (i.e. Office Accounting I, APA111C).
- In the Additional Description text box, if needed, include any pertinent notes for the proctor.
- In the Delivery Method section, select how you will deliver the exam to the Testing Center (Attach, Drop-off, or Online).
- In the Detailssection, input the following:
- Time Limit (in minutes)
- Open Book
- The default setting is No Open Book.
- If applicable, toggle to Yes Open Book.
- Open Notes
- The default setting is No Open Notes.
- If applicable, toggle to Yes Open Book.
- Scratch Paper
- The default setting is Destroyed.
- If applicable, select the appropriate scratch paper destruction method from the checkbox list.
- Calculator Types
- The default setting is No Calculator.
- If applicable, select the appropriate calculator/s from the checkbox list.
- Step 5: Once all actions are completed, select the green Save button to create the exam.
Proceed to Part II to create the Exam Session.
Part II: Create Exam Session
- Step 1: In theExam Sessions Tab, select the green Add New button.
- Step 2: In the Exam Session Section, complete the following:
- Enter Exam Name
- Select Date(s) Available
- You may select a date range of no more than 6 days.
- Select Term Session.
- Select Testing Location(s).
- You may select one or more Testing Center Locations.
- Input Comments
- In the Students Section, select the authorized student(s) by switching the corresponding On toggle switch.
- If applicable, enter the student’s corresponding Number from the Letter of Accommodation and select the green Add button to populate approved DSS accommodations.
- Select the green Save button at the bottom of the application to create the Exam Session.
Student(s) will receive an automated email inviting them to create an appointment within the SSAP- Testing Center application.
Part III: Retrieve Academic Testing Completed Exams
Exam Pick-up
- Go to the Testing Center where your student(s) took the exam for pick-up during Testing Center business hours.
- Login to SSAP-Testing Center with SSO credentials
- Select See what exams are available for pick up in the Are you picking up exam results? Blue information field.
- A list of students who completed the exam(s) will populate.
- The Testing Center staff member will retrieve the completed exam(s) from the instructor’s secure file.
- The instructor will check off the student’s name as the staff member reads the names of completed exams.
- Following verification, the Testing Center staff member will enter the secure passcode to certify exam pick-up.
Retrieve Downloaded Results
- Login to SSAP-Testing Center.
- Select Instructor.
- Under the dropdown box that appears, Select Download Results.
- A list of completed exams will populate.
- Choose the corresponding Academic Testing Results and select the download icon to retrieve the scanned materials.
No Return
- No Action Required. This option is selected when students take an application-based exam (through Canvas, ALEKS, Evolve, etc.) and scratch paper is not required to be scanned or saved for pick-up.
Examination Day Reminders
- Prior to taking any examination, you will need to present a current, valid and original photo ID with a signature(e.g., passport, driver’s license or state-issued ID card).
- Digital Identification is not permissible.
- If your photo ID does not include a signature, a second ID is required with your name and signature (e.g., Social Security card, voter registration card, credit card or debit card).
- If your exam requires payment, testing fees must be paid prior to sitting for the exam.
- Acceptable methods of payment include personal checks (must be preprinted with account holder's name and address), money orders, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa debit/credit cards (cardholder must be present to sign for all credit card and debit card transactions).
