Admissions Scholarships
Seminole State College’s Admissions Department awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to recent high school graduates. These scholarships are funded through student fees.
The Fall 2024 Admissions Scholarship Application is available online. Students may begin submitting completed applications via email Jan. 1-Feb. 16, 2024.
Scholarships for Current-Year High School Graduates
Recipients of the following scholarships must attend Seminole State beginning Fall Term following their senior year of high school.
Academic and Bright Futures Companion Scholarships
- Academic Scholarship: $1,255 each Fall and Spring Term for two years.
For recent high school graduates who earned a GPA of at least 3.0 and are ineligible to receive the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship. The scholarship will cover tuition and/or fees up to 12 credit hours per semester. It may be renewed for an additional year, provided the student maintains a 3.0 GPA. - Bright Futures Companion Scholarship: $300 each Fall and Spring Term for two years.
For recent high school graduates who are Bright Futures recipients. If you are uncertain about your Bright Futures eligibility, it is recommended to apply for the Academic Scholarship. Students awarded the Academic Scholarship who become Bright Futures eligible, will receive the Bright Futures Companion instead.
For instructions on how to apply, please refer to the scholarship application. The deadline each year to apply for these scholarships will be in February. Students will be notified by mail if they are selected to receive a scholarship. Notices are sent in May.

Scholarships for Baccalaureate Students
This scholarship is designed to help students continue in their degree programs and recognize the academic experiences of students at Seminole State College. To qualify for this scholarship, students must be accepted into one of Seminole State's bachelor's degree programs, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have a background of academic perseverance.
At this time the Baccalaureate Academic Scholarship is not being offered for Fall 2024. Please visit Seminole State's Private and College Scholarship links for other scholarship opportunities.
