Students taking courses through Seminole Online have access to the same quality education and support services as students taking courses on campus. The following resources will provide you with information to have a successful career as an online student at Seminole State College.

The Academic Success Center offers currently enrolled Seminole State students access to online tutoring and general academic support 24 hours a day through Smarthinking. Access Smarthinking's online resources through your Canvas account.
The Assessment and Testing Center provides students, faculty, and the Seminole State College community with professional, secure, and quality testing services that adhere to the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.
Seminole State College offers computer access at various locations across four campuses and other satellite locations. View the computer lab hours and locations.
DSS works with students across all Seminole State campuses and is committed to providing appropriate academic support services for persons with disabilities to ensure equal access for all.
The Seminole State Library offers the following services for online students:
- Email a Librarian: Send an email to library@seminolestate.edu for assistance.
- Virtual Library Database Access: Search the library's database online from any computer.
- Username: Your Canvas username
- Password: Same as your Canvas password
- Library Cards: Your Blue & Gold Card also serves as your library card and provides access to many library services.

Microsoft Office 365 is available to you for free once you register for a class with Seminole State College. You can download the full version of Microsoft Office 365, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, on up to five devices.
Seminole State's Bookstore is managed by Barnes & Noble College. Through the online bookstore, you can purchase textbooks (both new and used), supplies, Seminole State gear, and more. Online students have access to the same services available to students on campus.
MySeminoleState is the online portal where you can register for classes and access your grades, financial aid information, email, personal information, and more. You can also access your student information on the go with My.SeminoleState Mobile. All students will create a MySeminoleState account as part of their Steps to Enroll. Navigate is a Student Success Management System that allows you to plan your courses in advance, schedule advising appointments, explore majors and programs, receive timely alerts and notifications for important "to-dos", and so much more.
- Online Courses at Seminole State College:
Search for classes at Seminole State by course title. Click the Online checkbox under Class Types to view only online courses. - Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Electronic Campus allows you to find SARA-approved institutions, such as Seminole State College.
- Florida Shines provides information regarding access to distance learning courses and degree programs offered by public postsecondary education institutions within Florida, including Seminole State College.
At Seminole State College, the safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our priority. Campus Security protects the rights of all individuals and ensures their safety and well-being. To report crimes or emergencies, contact 407.708.2178 or submit a Security Services Request.

Counseling Services provides appropriate referrals to students who have personal issues that impact academic pursuits at college. If you are in need of assistance during college hours of operation, please call 407.708.2337 to be connected with a counselor at your selected campus or visit any campus advising and counseling office to speak with a counselor.
Students in need of personal counseling will be seen as a priority, and appointments are not necessary. If this is a mental health crisis and the college is closed, please contact our after-hours crisis number at 407.571.0999. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please dial 911 immediately.
Office of Holistic Student Support services include telehealth, LYNX transportation, destination graduation with resources to stay in school, and Raiders Helping Raiders Food Pantry.
Raider Success provides emergency financial assistance, connections to community services, childcare services, transportation assistance, and support for food insecurities.
The Career Center provides resources for career exploration, job internships, job shadows, and employment preparation.
