What position did you play on the Seminole State baseball team?
I pitched for Seminole State from 2014-2016.
Any favorite memory of your time, team or Coach Mike Nicholson?
My favorite moment was from my freshman year when I was given the opportunity to work into the starting rotation. Going from being a walk-on to a scholarship position and working with Coach Nicholson to finish the season out strong. Coach Nicholson always was fair with the opportunities he gave to all talent on the team. He always acknowledged talent and heart equally while putting the best nine guys on the field.
How did your experience as a student-athlete help with your life or current situation?
My experience at Seminole State taught me to work hard and always strive to be the best. Between the coaching staff and my friends and family, I learned respect for the game and others. The experience on the field also taught me discipline and structure. Seminole State and the staff always pressed that classes and grades come first. My family always stressed the same. I have my family and Seminole State to thank for the continued success I had in the classroom as well as on the field and in my current profession.
Can you share an uplifting story about your work that you have experienced over the last few weeks?
An uplifting story that I have experienced at work is the support and success we are having in this time. To see the number of success stories rise and the number of sick patients fall is encouraging. As we all work together more and more as a community, I think our outlook is promising.
