Johnny Craig named VP of Student Affairs at Seminole State College

Following a national search, Johnny Craig has been named vice president of Student Affairs at Seminole State College of Florida.
Craig, who began work on July 15, is an established student services professional committed to holistic student development. He has more than a decade of leadership experience in community colleges and universities, including work in both private and public colleges.
Most recently, Craig served as vice president for student services and enrollment management at Milwaukee Area Technical College. In that role, he provided executive leadership for 21 departments and was a member of the college’s executive leadership team redesigning systems and processes to support students academically, professionally, personally and financially.
In addition to his administrative roles, Craig served as an adjunct faculty member for many years and notes that “student success is the net product of successful collaboration between Academic and Student Affairs.”
Craig, a first-generation college graduate, holds a Juris Doctor degree from The BK Roberts College of Law at Florida State University, a master’s in higher education administration from Georgia State University, and bachelor’s degrees in economics and agri-business from Florida A&M University.

As vice president of Student Affairs, Craig will lead the development of student programs and support services that increase the effectiveness and impact of student development on student success, supervise leaders in all areas of Student Affairs, and will ensure that student processes operate efficiently and effectively to support students from admission through graduation. He also will serve on the College’s Executive Team, shaping the strategy and operations of the College.
Seminole State College of Florida, established in 1965, serves nearly 30,000 students across six sites in Central Florida.
