Office of Legal and Government Affairs
The Office of Legal and Government Affairs provides legal advice and support to the Board of Trustees, the President and administration, and staff on all aspects of governance and operations. These services include:
- Negotiation and preparation of contracts and other documents
- Management and coordination of all legal service providers including outside counsel
- Management of labor relations program for UFF and SEIU bargaining units
- Coordination of public records requests and records disposal
- Coordination and oversight of rulemaking process
- Supervision of risk management, environmental health & safety and compliance programs
The Office also supports the Board and the President’s governmental relations program. This includes support for the development and implementation of the College legislative agenda.
