Equivalency of Training Program
The Equivalency of Training (EOT) program is open to out-of-state officers, federal officers and previously certified Florida officers with a four year or more break-in-service pursuant to section 943.131(2a), Florida Statutes and Rule 11B-35.009(3) or (4), Florida Administrative Code or for persons who served as a member of the special operations forces pursuant to section 943.131(2)(b), F.S. and Rule 11B-35.009(5), F.A.C. The EOT program allows a former officer or special forces member to be exempt from having to complete the full basic recruit academy.

Steps to Apply
- Contact a Law Enforcement Agency, or Criminal Justice Selection Center who will complete the CJSTC Equivalency of Training CJSTC Form 76.
- Once the Form 76 is completed and signed, submit it to Seminole State College for acceptance.
- Register and pay for the class.
- Additional instructions and class schedule will be provided once you are registered for the class.
The course schedule includes the following proficiency areas:
- Firearms
- Defensive Tactics
- First Aid for Criminal Justice Officers
- Vehicle Operations
The course schedule also includes a brief overview of the additional sections of the State Officer Certification Exam.

$1,122 (includes books and access to the 4 high-liability exams)
Length of Program
Five days (54 hours)
Participants are encouraged to connect with a Seminole County law enforcement agency regarding open positions.
