This is the fourth year Addition Financial hosted this inspirational contest, awarding one public school teacher from Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties with a classroom makeover. Addition Financial hired paid interns from the Seminole State College of Florida interior design program to take each teacher’s vision and make it into a reality.

Seminole State’sDisability Support Services (DSS) has proven once again prove they are more than disability support, they are wellness support, through a unique collaboration with BrainTap Technologies.

Seminole State College of Florida Biology Professor Dr. Laila Nimri was honored with the Association of Florida College’s (AFC) 2023 Professor of the Year award. In the 22 years she’s taught at Seminole State, she has made a difference in both students’ and faculty members' lives.

Dr. Loretta Ovueraye, vice president of Academic Affairs and chief academic officer at Seminole State has been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award in the Germany International Education Administrators Program for 2024-2025.

The curtain will open for the fall arts season at Seminole State with a full program of theatre, music, and art from the Center for Fine and Performing Arts.

Originally from the medical field, Jennifer Hella transitioned to Seminole State as a post-baccalaureate student, where she re-discovered her interest in programming and data analysis.
