Women's Cross Country Earns Region 8 Championship

The Seminole State College of Florida’s Women's Cross Country team won the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Region 8 Division 1 Championship on Friday, Oct. 25. Freshman Morgan Harvill finished first for the Raiders and Seminole State placed their top five in the top 11 (overall). Harvill set a school record with a 19:22.03 (5K). Rounding out the scoring, the top five runners for Seminole were Rachel Horsford, fourth overall (20:48.55), Liliana Flores, ninth (21:02.61), Darcy Cernansky, 10th (21:14.78) and Giannina Rodriguez, 11th (21:16.48). 

The men's team finished third overall behind Daytona State College and Eastern Florida State College. Both teams will be heading to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National meet in Mechanicsville, Virginia on Nov. 9.
