Speaker Series: ‘Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work’

The Speaker Series at Seminole State College of Florida will welcome a panel of professionals representing various industries to explore the topic “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work,” Wednesday, April 10, at 5 p.m. on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.
Continuing its AI-focused presentations, the Speaker Series will bring together the following experts in legal, business process automation, healthcare, and digital advertising and marketing to discuss how AI is impacting their fields, how their organizations are using AI in their everyday work and what AI skills they expect employees to have:
- Ian Johnson, attorney at Losey PLLC
Johnson leverages his background and experience across technology, business and law to help business leaders tackle the legal challenges that arise founding, funding and growing their companies. He helps clients develop a cohesive intellectual property strategy that serves their unique business objectives and advises businesses through all stages of the business lifecycle.
- Rohit Pawar, director at KPMG
Pawar is part of KPMG’s Business Enablement and Transformation Office where he leads delivery of automation Center of Excellence. His work includes engaging with client stakeholders, understanding their processes and identifying opportunities of automation.
- Michael Schmidt, vice president of strategic innovations at Orlando Health
In his role, Schmidt is responsible for identifying and developing targeted innovations across Orlando Health and serves as executive leader for innovation and commercialization efforts. He also oversees the Corporate Office of Clinical Research.
- Adrian Tennant, chief strategy officer at Bigeye
With 30 years of experience in the marketing field, Tennant has dedicated his career to researching both the conscious and nonconscious factors influencing consumer responses. At Bigeye, he is instrumental in developing strategies that are informed by data, incorporating both traditional research methodologies and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
No matter the industry, AI is a ubiquitous topic of discussion. And despite the range of opinions and perspectives on this emerging technology, experts say it’s here to stay. Guests can attend this presentation to learn how AI may apply to their workplace and the work skills needed for the future.
