Restaurant Management Specialization

The Restaurant Management specialization track in the Associate in Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management will introduce you to the basic craft and art of cooking, as well as the business, nutrition, sanitation/safety procedures that are required for success.

With faculty recognized internationally for their experience in industry and management, this hands-on program is designed for students interested in the fast-paced, rapidly growing food industry.

Hospitality students now have hands-on culinary training in our state-of-the-art mobile kitchen! Outfitted with the latest equipment, students will experience real-world culinary operations including food prep, retail operations, ingredient/recipe cost analysis, safety/health regulations and basic customer service.  

Highly unique and first among southeastern hospitality programs, the mobile kitchen allows students to build their resume through the internship/work experience that prepares them in running a sustainable kitchen. Developing critical thinking and communication skills necessary for long-term career success, students can partner this with real-world experience and building their industry contacts so they are ready to hit the ground running.
