Give to the Michalene "Mickey" Conti Endowed Scholarship in Nursing
For over 22 years, Michalene “Mickey” Conti dedicated her life to helping nursing students learn and succeed at Seminole State. She shared her knowledge and passion for nursing as a Professor in the CNA and LPN programs, and later as an assistant in Open Lab until her retirement in December 2022.
Born in New York, she graduated from nursing school in Buffalo. She met and married the love of her life, Samuel. She loved her daughters, grandchildren, and the Buffalo Bills and would often share their accomplishments with her Seminole State family.
Mickey loved working with students, taking a tremendous interest in their daily lives and making sure each of them knew they matter. She served as a mentor to incoming students, teaching them the process and building their confidence.
Beloved by students and colleagues alike, Mickey truly enjoyed getting to know others and would remember even the smallest details. Her personality and industry expertise brought tremendous value to the Seminole State nursing program. Because of her efforts, hundreds of students have successfully entered the nursing industry.
The Michalene "Mickey" Conti Endowed Scholarship in Nursing has been established by family and friends to provide tuition and book assistance to Seminole State students who share Mickey’s passion for nursing. Students who are enrolled in the Nursing (RN) program with a minimum GPA of 2.5 are eligible to apply.
