Established in Gordon's memory by his son and family to honor the many years of service provided to Seminole State College, the Gordon Murdock Memorial Endowed Scholarship provides tuition assistance to Seminole State College faculty, staff or dependents in need of a scholarship to help make their next dream a reality. Eligible applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and demonstrate financial need.

Gordon Murdock retired from Seminole State College in 2014. He started as a painter for Seminole Community College in 1996 and retired as a physical plant specialist from the maintenance department.  Joshua Murdock shares that he hopes this scholarship “will continuously give a chance for someone to reach their goals.” The scholarship will continue the memory and legacy of Gordon Murdock by giving back to others for eternity through educational opportunities.
