This course encompasses the application of basic and intermediate shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and the application of basic and intermediate oxyfuel
cutting principles and practices. Areas of study include making single āVā groove welds on plain carbon steel and performing 1G to 2G limited
thickness qualification (bend) test. Students will also gain knowledge on how to perform 1G-2G limited thickness qualification (bend) test and perform
straight cutting operations with an oxy-fuel cutting torch.
