Money Back Guarantee

The Money Back Guarantee eligibility criteria are currently under review for rule making and are subject to change.

The Money Back Guarantee serves as a tuition refund initiative, offering support to students who successfully complete any of the qualifying workforce education programs but find themselves unemployed within six months post-graduation. Eligibility for a tuition refund is contingent upon students meeting all program requirements.

 Eligible Programs

 How Do I Qualify for Money Back?

 A student is considered eligible if they are:

  • unable to obtain employment in the occupation in which the student was trained within six months of successful completion of the workforce program.
  • After completion of the eligible workforce program (listed above), the student cannot be enrolled in an upper-level, stackable program.
  • In good financial standing with Seminole State College of Florida
  • Legally eligible for employment in the U.S. and in the field of study completed at Seminole State College of Florida

Career-related requirements

Students must have:

  • Completed at least four unique pre-approved career development workshops while enrolled at the College, coded in RaiderConnect
  • Met classroom attendance or clock-hours requirements for their program of study
  • Enrolled and completed any of the eligible programs with at least a 2.0 GPA or earned a ‘C’ or better in all program course requirements and major course requirements
  • Participated in at least one Work-Based Learning opportunity such as internship placement, job shadowing, career mentorship, on-the-job training, clinical, practicum, apprenticeships, simulated work-based learning, etc.
  • Seek services from Seminole State College of Florida's Career Center to develop a career plan within the first semester of enrollment and provide evidence of a plan
  • Provide evidence of at least 120 job search company applications related to the occupation(s) associated with their program of study (e.g., documents such as rejection email/notice; proof of submission of an application (email/screen shot/letter); notice (email/letter) of interview, etc.)
  • Provide evidence of completing at least 40 good faith interviews for jobs related to their program of study (e.g., documents such as an email or letter of invitation to interview, confirmation of non-selection, etc.)
  • Attended at least three industry-related career fairs and/or worked directly with the Career Center for employment assistance in the last semester of enrollment or last month of graduation.
  • Register for the industry certification(s) required for employment, within one month of program completion
  • Passed all state and/or industry certifications required for employment

Note: Applications for a refund may be filed after six months from the date of graduation.  At the time of the application, all eligibility criteria must have been met.  

Applications will no longer be accepted one year from the date of graduation.
