ECHO Project Overview and Resources
Through funding by a Florida Department of Education English Literacy and Civics Education, Adult Education and Family Literacy State Leadership grant, language-learning materials were selected, organized and formatted for use by instructors working with ESOL students in traditional classrooms, in computer language labs and via a hybrid ESOL project that reinforces English learning inside and outside the classroom. The project included creation of an instructional framework to organize the delivery of online Web-enhanced activities via the College’s learning management system (Canvas), assisting instructors in the incorporation of Web-enhanced language activities into their instruction, and coordinating activities to assist students' exploration of career pathways.
